Charity
This year, the TES FE Awards are proud to support the Helena Kennedy Foundation.
The foundation helps disadvantaged students in the further and adult education sectors to transform their lives through higher education and fair access to the graduate professions. It does this by providing financial support, one-to-one advice, skills training and work placement opportunities. It aims to give its students access to the money, networks and know-how that so many others are able to take for granted.
The foundation was established to take forward the recommendations of the 1997 Learning Works report, produced by the Further Education Commission into Widening Participation, chaired by Baroness Kennedy.
